Position Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes; and production methods; Ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation; service and storage and daily quality control checks; Works multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste; temperature and presentation; Trains and orients selected staff on food production and safety and sanitation practices; Performs other duties as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares all food according to the recipes.
  • Dates food, maintains proper food safety hierarchy and standardized storage procedures.
  • Organizes and cleans the prep kitchen and walk in.
  • Uses and sanitizes the kitchen equipment using food safe practices.
  • Performs temperature checks.
  • Adheres to all company specifications and fills out checklists.
